Radiation Safety Awareness (X-Ray)

TCS training courses are designed based on regulations and industry best practices aligned with relevant international standards and/or approved by appropriate industry accrediting bodies, as necessary.

The aim of TCS training courses is to ensure that all individuals have reached a recognized level of competence to enable them to work on-site more safely with reduced risk to themselves and others.

According to regulations, there is always a need for everyone to be aware of safe work procedures, the hazards that may be encountered, and the steps required to safely perform and manage the job.

Health and Safety training courses are carefully designed to meet the requirements of the modern industries including, but not limited to oil & gas, construction, chemical, pharmaceutical, food, shipbuilding, etc. Training courses covered under Health and Safety category provide knowledge and skills for understanding and preventing hazards in various fields including, but not limited to: IOSH MS, MIST, ISO 45001 OHS Management Systems, Legal and Other Requirements, Accident Incident Investigations, Working at Heights, COHSH, Electrical Safety, Driving Safety, Radiation Safety, etc.

The courses are interactive and can be delivered in the language of your choice. Practical exercises and course materials are provided as per specific training requirements. The content can be localized to reflect the country or region where the workforce will operate.

To ensure that individuals have reached the required level of competency, they MUST successfully complete a training course and assessment. Successful candidates will then receive the certificate transferable worldwide. Individuals must renew their certificates based on the expiry date shown on the certificate to ensure their knowledge is up to date.

  • Introduction
  • Become aware of the nature of x-radiation
  • Understand the hazards of x-radiation and why radiation doses must be kept "as low as reasonably practicable" (ALARP)
  • Recognize how to achieve ALARP
  • Appreciate the main legal requirements for working with x-rays
  • Become competent in the use of a radiation monitor and understand the significance of measurement results
  • Understand the importance of following safety procedures
  • Assessment
